Mike and Lauren met while she was working as a bartender. They made eye contact from across the bar and Mike came over to talk to Lauren. He eventually asked her for her number and Lauren was happy to give it to him! A few weeks later, Mike left for the states and then to Europe to play hockey abroad, so the two began their long distance relationship. After three years in a long distance relationship, their bond was even stronger, and once Mike proposed the rest was history.
The couple’s favourite wedding moment was driving to the top of the tree-lined aisle in Lauren’s grandfather’s vintage 1950 Studebaker. “Because of its grandness it was perfect for our elegant wedding, and you could hear the awe of our guests when we drove up in it,” says Lauren.
There were so many favourite wedding details from Lauren and Mike’s wedding, including their location at Kurtz Orchards, Lauren’s dress and their wedding décor. But Lauren also loved their musicians (classic guitar and violinist) playing classical music during their ceremony and cocktail reception. “You could hear the music throughout the grounds and it was so pretty,” says Lauren.
